Privacy policy

Safe Spaces is a program of Learning for Good, an ACNC registered charity. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you enquire through this website we collect your name, your role, your club name, your state, your email address, and your phone number if you choose to give it, along with anything you write in the message field.

When your team takes part in the training, our learning platform records course enrolments, progress, and completion so your club can meet its own record keeping needs.

Why we collect it

We use your details to respond to your enquiry, set up access to the training, provide support during rollout, and report completion back to your club. We may contact you about program updates that are relevant to your club. You can ask us to stop at any time.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the program, such as our learning platform, our website hosting, and our email delivery provider. They may only use it to provide those services to us.

Where a club sponsors training for its staff, we may share completion records with that club, because the club is the party responsible for the training.

Sensitive disclosures

Safe Spaces training deals with domestic and family violence. We do not ask participants to disclose personal experiences, and we do not collect disclosures through this website. If you need support, contact 1800RESPECT on 1800 737 732, or call 000 in an emergency.

How we store and protect it

Information is held in secure, access controlled systems, and is kept only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law. Access is limited to the people who need it to run the program.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses only the cookies needed to make pages work. We do not use advertising trackers or sell website data.

Access, correction, and complaints

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@learningforgood.org.au and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, tell us first and we will work to resolve it. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
